TRIUMPH STAG - £Auction
2997cc. The present keeper of this well-loved Triumph Stag has owned it since 2012, and before him it belonged to the owner of an engineering firm for 36 years. The Stag comes with a good collection of invoices dated 2013-2022, and thorough, hand-written maintenance log covering large periods of its life. The highlight is a receipt dated 1981 itemises a professional bodywork restoration taking 397 hours, at a cost of £8364. Polaroid photos showing this work is also included.The car still presents well today, finished in red with a black interior, and displays a high level of originality. In recent years that car has received a stainless exhaust, new front seat foam, power steering pump and alternator, among other parts. It comes with MoT certificates going back to 1978, tax discs, Autobooks workshop manual and an owner's handbook.The vendor advises that the original Mk1 soft top needs a little TLC, but the original hard top (which he has never used) is included.
