This impressive Oldsmobile 98 was manufactured in 1964 and first registered in the UK in 2008.It's believed to be essentially unrestored. We're told the current owner spotted the car while travelling in Florida and decided it had to come home with him. He reportedly bought the car from its original owner, who had brought the car to Florida for his retirement after previously living and working in Detroit. In the UK the car joined the owner's private collection for a few years, and was briefly sold to a buyer who found it “too perfect” to tinker with. It was then sold back to our vendor (but it hasn't be re-registered in his name).Apparently the car has required next-to nothing, although the rear springs have been renewed, and a new pair of front springs are in the boot. An electric fuel primer has been installed under the bonnet to help it fire-up if it has been sitting.The paperwork includes documentation relating to its ownership in the United States and its import to the UK. Some original owners' manuals are also included. Paintwork, chrome trim, panel gaps and interior vinyl trim are impressive throughout, and the whitewall tyres have good tread.
