Affectionately known as ‘Moggy’ or ‘Jackie’, this cherished 1961 Morris Minor convertible has been well-loved and maintained, previously owned by longtime MMOC member Tony Briance. After Tony's passing two years ago, his widow has decided it's time for a new owner to enjoy the car. Summary: An original factory-built convertible, first supplied by Boon & Porter Ltd. A detailed history file is included, featuring the original Nuffield retail order, invoices, correspondence and photos. Initially ordered in Old English White, the car was delivered in Clipper Blue due to availability. Always garaged. Bodywork and Underside: Vinyl-wrapped bonnet (jubilee celebration) – easily removed. Paintwork in good condition overall with minor blemishes and scuffs. Structurally solid with past welding and undersealing; no major rust. Mechanical: Fitted with a believed 1275cc MG Midget engine (original 948cc listed on V5 – would need updating). Servo-assisted drum brakes (front wheel cylinders replaced in 2024). Minilite alloy wheels, alternator, thermostatic fan, halogen headlights with LED pilots. New water pump (2024); some rear axle whine but stable. Gearbox in good working order. Mileage unknown due to speedo change – old MoTs available. Interior and Hood: Clean interior with some age-related wear.
