The Lambretta TV175 Series 3 was launched in March 1962 and it was the first scooter supplied with an internal disc brake. It was a remarkable change from the previous TV175 Series 2 with new sleek slim styling. The front shock absorbers were enhanced with extra dampers as in the previous TV Series 2 models. The TV Series 3 also had larger silent blocks than the previous engines and it had a very good reputation as a smooth and well-balanced scooter with great handling attributes. The later version had Special type side panels and offered Metallic Blue as a colour in addition to the standard colour range.

First built in 1965, the beautifully presented little Lambretta TV175 offered here was first registered in July 1978 having just been imported into the UK with the vendor acquiring it himself in October 2006. The vendor admits that he had imagined himself looking as cool as the King of the Mods but his wife squashed this image when she pointed out that at 6 foot 4 inches tall and middle aged, the image he had imagined wasn't quite the reality. Slightly embarrassed but still loving the bike, he added it to his significant and eclectic car collection as he still derived joy just looking at it. Hardly used over the past almost 20 years, it has always been kept stored in his dehumidified indoor storage along with the rest of his collection. Now only for sale due to him moving home, this wonderful little Lambretta is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. Consigned by Will Penrose
