1958 JAGUAR XK150 - £69,950
Producing one of the first sports cars that could comfortably cruise at over 100 mph for miles on end was clearly a difficult task in 1950 and Jaguar achieved it before anyone else with great success. The XK was a highly desirable machine and with its racing Provence and amazing twin cam engine it was the car to own. By the time the XK 150 was released it was much more refined and as the predecessor to the new E Type they specified them well and the last years of production were SE models. This lovely original RHD DHC was one of 621 UK RHD built and not many were Automatics. I wondered what the auto would be like but was very pleasantly surprised that she drives so well and the masses of torque from the 3.4 engine really suits the gearbox. The history file is good including a Heritage certificate confirming she still has the original engine fitted. Restorative work has been carried out when necessary and includes engine and gearbox rebuilds. On the road she is a very special car with super performance and long legs for cruising with the auto gearbox making progress easy an d very relaxing. Supplied fully inspected,serviced with 12 months warranty.
