JAGUAR MK. II 2.4 - £Auction

The 1961 Jaguar Mk. II 2.4 is a classic British sports saloon admired for its elegance and refinement. Introduced as the successor to the Mk. I, it featured smoother styling, improved visibility with slimmer pillars, and a more luxurious interior with rich wood and leather trim. Powered by a 2.4-litre straight-six engine, it offered respectable performance for its era, though less powerful than the larger 3.4 and 3.8 variants. Today, it remains a cherished icon of Jaguar's 1960s craftsmanship.

This delightful Jaguar was originally registered in January 1961 and presents extremely well in Carmen red coachwork with a red leather interior and wire wheels. The leather and chrome work are all in good in order and the engine bay is clean. This Mk. II is fitted with the desirable manual transmission and features overdrive. During our enthusiast vendor's 20-year ownership this stylish saloon has benefitted from restoration and is offered to auction with an impressive file containing lots of bills and receipts. Also present is an original operating handbook and previous MoT test certificates. This classic British saloon is sensibly estimated and ready for a new owner. Consigned by Dominic Lake
