Launched to celebrate Honda’s 50th anniversary, the S2000 swiftly became a modern icon – a pure, analogue sports car that distilled the company’s racing DNA into a beautifully balanced and utterly reliable roadster. Its naturally-aspirated, 2.0-litre F20C engine produced around 240bhp at 8,300rpm, paired with a wonderfully precise six-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. With its perfect 50:50 weight distribution, finely honed chassis and crisp steering, the S2000 remains one of the most rewarding open-top sports cars of its era and is now firmly established as a modern classic. This outstanding 2009 GT model, from the final year of UK production, presents superbly in Moonrock Metallic with a black leather interior featuring red stitching, a black soft-top and the original factory hardtop. The soft top is in excellent condition and has a cover that is fitted when the hard top is not in use. It rides on its original 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels shod with Bridgestone Potenza tyres and features Xenon headlamps, push-button start, digital instrumentation, air conditioning and the original CD stereo. First registered in May 2009, the car remained with its original owner until the summer of 2025, when it was acquired by our vendor as a special gift for his wife. The accompanying history file includes the owner’s manuals, black leather document wallet, two keys, V5C registration document, MOT certificates and a full record of servicing and maintenance. With production ending in 2009, unmodified, low-mileage UK-supplied S2000 GTs have become highly sought after among collectors and enthusiasts alike.
