HONDA 250N - £1,000
This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Sale at Race Retro 2026 - Motorcycles on Sunday the 22nd of February, Stoneleigh Park, Stoneleigh Rd, Coventry, CV8 2LG. Introduced at the end of the 1970s, the Honda 250N Super Dream marked a significant shift in middleweight motorcycling, prioritising reliability, practicality, and everyday usability over outright sporting intent. Built to Honda’s famously robust standards, it quickly became a popular choice for commuters and new riders alike, earning a reputation for longevity and ease of ownership. Powered by an air-cooled parallel-twin engine, the Super Dream delivered smooth, dependable performance and low running costs, wrapped in a straightforward and functional frame. While rarely glamorous, these machines were admired for their ability to withstand hard use and high mileages with minimal fuss — a reputation that still endears them to classic riders today. This 1979 example was acquired by Robin Haigh in March 2019 and is described as a well-used machine, reflecting its intended role as a practical road bike rather than a pampered showpiece. It is supplied with a V5C but no other documentation. Having been unused for a number of years, it will require recommissioning before being returned to active service. An honest and increasingly nostalgic classic from Honda’s late-1970s line-up, this Super Dream offers an appealing opportunity for light restoration, recommissioning, or simply as a usable entry point into classic Japanese motorcycling.
