Powered by its 1,600cc, naturally aspirated, four-cylinder inline longitudinal front engine, producing c.88bhp when new, coupled to a 4-speed manual gearbox The XLR trim spec included Rostyle wheels, 6-dial dash, centre console, clock and extra chrome This well maintained example was purchased by Ant as a prime example to improve for his TV programme, Born Mechanic Recent full respray in original Signal Orange, the body was amazingly solid. Complemented by re-chromed bumpers The interior is largely original sporting a delightful patina, with the front seats being retrimmed in the correct material New front suspension arms and bushes have been fitted along with steering rack bushes and steering coupling. Wheels have been replaced with new RS 4-spoke alloys really setting the car off (original Rostyle wheels come with the car) A golden opportunity to acquire a buy this very rare first-generation 1.6 GT XLR recently restored with TV provenance
