In the mid 1960s, Spanish manufacturer Bultaco enlisted trials champion Sammy Miller to help develop a new trials machine Miller had previously achieved success on a heavier British-made Ariel, but when the company was taken over, he became available for the partnership The Sherpa was a lightweight, two-stroke machine that was designed for maximum tractability and manoeuvrability. It featured a 245cc, two-stroke single fuelled through a small IRZ carb and fitted in a sturdy, flex-free, all-welded, single-loop frame Sherpa T Model 80; The newer 250cc version was released in late 1971. This model was a substantial update and featured the new 'Kit Campeon' seat and tank unit, which was made of fiberglass and was much narrower than previous versions This is frame #221 and is fitted with Renthal bars Privately owned since 2012, the bike is UK-registered with a V5C, currently not running but hoped to be by the sale A rare bike and fresh to market
